FAILTE!
A nurse on holiday in Scotland accidentally
travels back through time, arriving in the year 1743, a few
years before the tragic Battle of Culloden and the falling of
the clans. She meets, marries and falls in love with one
James Alexander Malcom MacKenzie Fraser. Outlander is rich in
details, characters, settings, history and written with some of
the best plot twist and humor I've ever read. Lush landscapes mixed
in with stubborn Scots, make not only one exceptional book, but
it's a great way to learn Scottish history along the way. Scotland and the characters
in this book will
leave a lasting impression on you, and if you have the money
your next holiday will most likely be spent in the Highlands of
Scotland!
Outlander
is the first in a series of books devoted to the love and lives
of Jamie and Claire Fraser. This site with its pictures and web links is
basically devoted to the first two books, Outlander and
Dragonfly in Amber. To include all the
books of the series would be a bit overwhelming for the both of
us! What I have tried to do with this web page is gather enough pictures and
links to satisfy your Outlander wanderlust.

I've
had the pleasure of meeting Diana Gabaldon more than a couple of
times in Surrey, Canada where she takes part in a writers'
conference there. She makes a point to visit an annual
gathering with some of us from The Ladies or Lallybroch. Even
after a long day of travel and a book signing, she is always
insightful, entertaining and humorous...just like her
books! Links include the
many articles written about her over the years.
Also includes a link to Diana Gabaldon's Official web
page.
A
place to put your thoughts down about the site, your
favorite book of the series, whatever you
wish.
I
just want to thank the Ladies
of Lallybroch Book Board for all their suggestions of what
they wanted to see in a web page devoted to
Outlander.
Thanks Lassies!
